June 9th Fishing Report

Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Light and variable wind.

Hot and humid day today.  Cloud cover yesterday and into early morning today had helped the fishing quite a bit, but the sun is going to pop out again later this morning and slow things down.

We have had a bit of rain recently that has put a good stain on some waters, and are forecasted for a bit more over the next few days.  So far, it is nothing too concerning except for the potential for localized thunderstorms in a valley or two.

Subsurface fishing is good on scuds, leeches, and even worm patterns in the cloudy water, and your normal perdigon style flies in the clear water.

On the surface, hippie stompers, small stimulators and other edible indicators are doing a good job holding bead heads up, and getting some fish to eat.  True, match the hatch dry fly fishing is best the last two hours of the day.
