June 12th Fishing Report

Sunny, with a high near 79. Breezy, with a west wind 8 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Cooler weather blowing in today!

Recent rains were not super heavy in our area, with about half an inch area wide over the past 24 hours.  Only a few larger creeks remain muddy after a couple of days of rain, the rest are clear to stained.

It’s fishing like summer time!  A few risers the first couple hours of the day (rusty spinner, palomino midge) then a green beetle with a dropper prospecting all day long.  At night (last two hours of the day) some lighter colored mayflies are hatching.  A Cahill, PMD or sulphur tilt wing should do the trick if you get rising fish at last light.

Finally, mice have started to catch fish.  With things drying out a bit, they should be moving around a bit at night
