March 14th Fishing Report
Sunny, with a high near 35. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. The melting snow locked up nicely after a cold night. Expect good conditions area wide until around 3 pm when snowmelt hits the creeks and cools things down again.
The rest of the week looks ok, with the exception of Thursday when we are supposed to get some warmer weather and rain. This will temporarily muddy and cool down the water. Things will rebound quickly for the weekend.
We are seeing midges hatch daily and some winter stonelfies too. Subsurface action is getting better each day with fish starting to eat no only thin bodied midges, but scuds and purple drank too. Leeches and streamers are starting to catch fish when sped up a bit instead of just dead drifted and twitched.
