September 5th Fishing Report
Partly sunny, with a high near 91. Heat index values as high as 96. Breezy, with a south wind 6 to 11 mph increasing to 13 to 18 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 26 mph.We are in an extreme drought and the creeks are very, very low and clear. Fish are quite spooky.
Please make sure to use your thermometer, while the smaller creeks are still running at temperatures near 60, some of the larger creeks (especially after the hot weekend) are into the 70s. If you find water over 65 degrees it is a good idea to change locations.
The rest of the week looks very pleasant with highs in the low 70s and lows getting below 50! This will, at least, put the fish in a better mood.
