April 19th Fishing Report
Increasing clouds, with a high near 47. Breezy, with a west wind 8 to 13 mph increasing to 18 to 23 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph.Creeks are clear to very slightly stained. Temperatures are right around 50 degrees.
With the cooler weekend, things will start a bit later in the morning. No need to get up at dawn to fish!
We are still seeing olives and some caddis hatching as well as a few craneflies and spring stoneflies too.
Subsurface fishing has been very good on leeches (especially olive as the creek lamprey are spawning) and scuds when clouds are in the sky, and thread frenchies and other thin bodied bead heads when the sun is high in the sky.
