April 22nd Fishing Report
A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 5pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 64. Breezy, with a south wind 6 to 11 mph increasing to 18 to 23 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph.Creeks are clear and still low. Temperatures are in the low 50s. We are getting a spinner fall (rusty spinners size 16/18 are good) at dawn, then switching to bead heads early in the day. Most creeks are seeing some caddis with fish eating them around lunchtime and sometimes extending into the evening. If fish aren't rising, fishing a olive or brown training wheel (spring stonefly) with a thin bodied bead head below is quite good right now.
Leeches and streamers are solid as baitfish and creek lamprey are spawning right now, but are always more successful on cloudier days.
