June 20th Fishing Report

Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74. East wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
The major rains are well south of us (south of hwy 18) and we have clouds and very light drizzle as of this morning.
Overall creeks in our area are clear to slightly stained with temperatures in the high 50s to 60 degrees.
Fish are back to normal, and feeding well on beetles, small hoppers and ants during the day.  We still have a few leftover sulphurs in the nighttime, but the hatch is fading as we transition into summer terrestrial time.
Subsurface fishing has been very good on smaller, thin bodied bugs and anything with a bit of flash.  The trout are spooky, so make sure you use some stealth when you approach your spots, and focus on the broken water so you have some cover from trout seeing you.  If you can see the fish, they can see you!
