July 23rd Fishing Report

A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 80. West wind 5 to 8 mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Some storms rolled through in the middle of the night dropping up to an inch of rain in some spots.  We are not expecting to see much mud,but some creeks will have a stain on them (a good thing for the day) and some clouds will be in the sky for the first part of the day (another good thing).
Summer rains like this make fishing much better.  The cloud cover helps a ton providing shade, and a flush of cool water and hopefully a stain on the water gets fish feeding.  You actually want to look for lighter rains a day or two before you go fishing in the summertime!
Temperatures remain quite good through Thursday.  We will see things warm up into the weekend making fishing more of an early morning only thing.
Tricos in the mornings, terrestrials and droppers the rest of the time.
