September 9th Fishing Report
Sunny, with a high near 82. Southwest wind 3 to 6 mph.Creeks are a bit low and clear with temperatures in the high 50s to low 60s. Temperatures will slowly climb this week into the mid 80s, then back to 80 by the weekend. Fishing has been a bit more difficult than it should be because of the ultra clear and low flows. Trout are extremely spooky so use as much stealth and caution as you can when approaching your spot.
Late last week we did start to see the beginnings of an afternoon olive hatch, while that MIGHT stick around, typically the warmer temps will have them holding off until things cool down again.
Terrestrials are key, as are simple generic dry flies on the surface. Subsurface fishing is best on thinner bodied bugs.
