October 2nd Fishing Report

Sunny, with a high near 74. Breezy, with a southwest wind 8 to 13 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
The difficult fishing continues.  The clear water and sunny skies (not to mention the wind) aren't making things easy out there.  Smaller hoppers and beetles with a subtle scud below, or a zebra midge are the go to rigs right now.  There are a few olives hatching in the morning, and we have seen slight hints of the appearance of the fall olive hatch later in the day.  It isn't here yet, but we are really hoping with the cooler temperatures that they show up soon to energize the fish!
