October 5th Fishing Report

Mostly cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 80. Breezy, with a south wind 6 to 11 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph.
We actually have some scattered cloud cover this morning!  We have also seen a slight increase in the tiny olives hatching in the afternoon/evening too.  It  isn't as exciting as we want it to be, but the fishing is inching closer to being where it should be for October.
It's still hopper or beetle with a dropper and watching for fish to rise to emergers and mayflies in the later afternoon and evening.
Small (very small) streamers twitched below the riffles and stripped through the runs are effective now too.
