January 29th Fishing Report
Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38. Northwest wind 5 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.A good ice melting day yesterday, and no snow on the banks means we will have quite a bit more open water to fish the next few days.
Temperature wise, we are looking at 40-50 degrees the next couple of days, fantastic weather to get out there and fish.
It is still winter fishing though, and while it is pleasant outside, the fishing is still slow.
Watch for midge hatches mid day, otherwise fishing small, dark bodied nymphs deep as well as leeches and scuds is key.
