February 28th Fishing Report
A chance of showers between 1pm and 4pm. Partly sunny, with a temperature rising to near 47 by 11am, then falling to around 36 during the remainder of the day. Windy, with a west wind 22 to 29 mph, with gusts as high as 44 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.Creeks are clear to slightly stained with temperatures in the higher 30s. Overall fishing is ok, but nothing to write home about. Hatches have been sparse, but when they show up, the fish are feeding with abandon. Most of the action is subsurface on small leeches, scuds and zebra nymphs.
Heading into the weekend we get a bit of a cool down temperature wise on Saturday. It isn't brutal and should help stabilize the fishing a bit. Sunday and next week things warm back up to spring weather.
