March 10th Fishing Report

Sunny, with a high near 69. Breezy, with a southwest wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph.
Creeks are clear to stained with temperatures in the high 30s to low 40s.  The hot weather today will get rid of the remaining snow.  There is not enough to really mess up the fishing, but continue to check water temperatures, especially in the afternoon.  If things are cooling down water temp wise, it is probably time to call it quits on that creek.
We're still seeing our winter bugs (midges, a few winter stoneflies), but we are transitioning into spring flies (spring stones, BWOs).  Subsurface fishing is still the best with trout eating leeches, scuds, and darker bodied nymphs very well all day long.
