April 21st Fishing Report
Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 52. Breezy, with a west wind 10 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.Yesterday we got a good soaking rain of about an inch and a half area wide. Some creeks will show a bit of stain today, but rain was not too heavy to make things unfishable.
The week ahead is looking cloudy and with spotty rains. Excellent news for our drought situation!
Fish are happy and feeding well subsurface on scuds, flashy nymphs, and leeches and streamers. On the surface the olive hatch is still around, but subsiding. The caddis hatches are getting stronger.
