April 24th Fishing Report
A 50 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a steady temperature around 51. East wind around 6 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.Creeks are in great shape, clear to slightly stained with temperatures right around 50 degrees.
We have had stable weather with clouds overhead and a bit of sun peeking out every once in a while. The cloud cover has helped with spooky fish in our low and clear creeks!
We're still doing well fishing blue winged olive mayflies as they continue to hatch in the afternoon. On warmer and sunnier days we are still seeing black caddis and expect to see tan caddis any day now as well.
Subsurface fishing has been great on leeches and scuds early in the deeper pools and pockets, then switching to thin bodied, flashy nymphs in the riffles in the afternoons and evenings.
