March 5th Fishing Report

Cloudy, with a steady temperature around 37. Breezy, with a west wind 14 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Creeks are low and clear and the fish are spooky!
So far snowmelt has not impacted creeks heavily.  You can still successfully fish from 9-3.  Once the water temperature drops in the afternoon the fishing shuts down.
We are still seeing fish rising daily to midges and winter stoneflies.  It is not warm enough to see olives again until maybe Saturday.
Subsurface fishing has been fantastic on pretty much anything rolled along the bottom.

**Sunday looks questionable**  While the weather will be incredibly pleasant, Saturday's snowmelt will not subside overnight as it will not re-freeze.  Sunday might be a day to break out the larger streamers and squirmy wormies!
