March 14th Fishing Report
Cloudy, with a high near 36. Northeast wind 3 to 5 mph.Creeks are clear to slightly stained. There is very little snow left on the banks so we are fishing from the late morning through most of the day now. Only a few streams are still getting cold water runoff in the afternoons.
Midges are still the major hatch with a few olives here and there. Water temperatures are in the high 30s to low 40s. In the 30s we are seeing midges, in the 40s we are seeing olives.
Otherwise, leech and streamer fishing has been fantastic lately with a lot of fish finally feeling grabby on larger patterns.
As always, rolling a heavy bead head on the bottom will catch fish all day long. We are starting to see an uptick in interest in scuds as well
