February 27th Fishing Report
Mostly sunny, with a high near 44. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable.Creeks are clear and flowing well. Fishing remains good in the later morning through the afternoon. Once the snowmelt hits the creeks things slow down to shut down completely.
So far, the melting has not been intense enough to muddy things up leaving creeks clear to slightly stained.
Midges and winter stoneflies are around daily, and the chance for rising fish is high right now.
Subsurface fishing is solid on midge larvae, and picking up on larger patterns like scuds and pink squirrels.
Leeches and streamers can be very effective right now, especially in the lower and slower sections of the creeks.
