March 11th Fishing Report
Mostly cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 49. Breezy, with a west wind 11 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.Creeks muddied up a bit yesterday with the rain and hot temperatures. With the cooling of temperatures muddy snowmelt should no longer be an issue.
Fishing has still be solid in the mornings into the afternoon with things slowing down as temperatures drop int he later afternoon. With most of the snow gone, the window of opportunity opens a bit more past mid day as snowmelt becomes less of a factor in changing the water temperatures.
Midges and winter stoneflies are still hatching and fish are rising throughout the day on some of our creeks.
Subsurface fishing has broken wide open with fish still eating the thin bodied bugs, but also switching to scuds and thicker bodied patterns too!
Leeches and streamers have been quite good, especially in the lower sections of creeks.
