June 14th Fishing Report

Sunny, with a high near 83. Northwest wind 6 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.
While we are getting a break from the sweltering heat, the temperature damage has already been done.  We need rain to cool things down at this point.
Please remember to use your thermometer.  There is a lot of water over 65 degrees (and some spots well over 70!).  When temps are over 65 fishing is very poor and can be lethal to fish.  Concentrate on the upper sections of creeks and tributaries to find colder water.
If you do fish, concentrate on the early bite.  Fishing is best when temperatures are the coolest from about 5-9 in the morning.  In the meantime, do your rain dance!  The creeks are incredibly low and this is not helping the temperature issues!
