July 23rd Fishing Report
Mostly sunny, with a high near 87. Southwest wind 6 to 10 mph.Creeks are low and clear and warming up quickly. There are a handful of waters still below 65 degrees, but that number is shrinking and will continue to do so with the heat we have coming over the next few days.
It isn't a terrible idea to take a pass on trout fishing when the weather gets like this. It has been an exceptionally difficult season with low water and heat!
If you do fish this weekend and into next week, please use a thermometer!!! Anything over 65 will be poor fishing, and much warmer than that you can start harming or even killing trout. Seek out the shaded areas, headwaters, and colder tributaries. Fish very early and very late and avoid the mid day heat.
