March 1 Fishing Report
Partly sunny, with a high near 43. Northwest wind 3 to 8 mph.The melting snow did not completely lock up last night which means we have had a trickle of melting all night long that will continue into today.
Creeks are very low and clear (fish are super spooky) with water temperatures in the high 30s to low 40s. Remember to use your thermometer! Rising water temperatures are good right now, once snowmelt drops temperature or things cool down near the end of the day, fishing shuts off.
We are seeing midges, winter stones, and even a handful of olives out there with some fish rising mid day. Your best fishing is subsurface on perdigon nymphs and scuds or fishing leeches slowly over the deeper pools.
