March 2 Fishing Report
A chance of rain and snow showers before noon, then a chance of sprinkles between noon and 4pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 42. Light west wind becoming north 8 to 13 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Little or no snow accumulation expected. There is little snow left on the banks, but there is just enough in the fields and on the hills to chill things down in the later afternoon. It has not gotten warm enough to turn things murky yet. Fishing before the water temperatures drop has been pretty good, but the window of opportunity is narrow (at best 10-2). Once the rest of the snow melts (looking like the weekend may be the time for a big melt) fishing will be good for longer.
Midges, winter stones, and even some sporadic BWOs are around. Creeks are very low and clear which means fish are very spooky.
