March 3rd Fishing Report
Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. North wind 5 to 7 mph.Creeks are low and clear with water temps in the high 30s to low 40s. The past couple of days were good melting days. The creeks stayed in good shape until about 3 pm then they started to show some stain from runoff. Having a cold day like to day will give things a chance to slow down melting wise. We're heading for a bit of a warmup this weekend that might include some rain. There is not a lot of snow left on the banks so we do not expect too much mud to come with the melting and rains.
Midges, stoneflies, and even some olives are hatching mid day. Nymphing and fishing leech patterns has been very successful while water temperatures are climbing.
