March 7th Fishing Report
A chance of snow before 10am, then scattered flurries between 10am and noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 32. Northwest wind 10 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.Saturday night did give us some rain and significant melting. Things were pretty muddy Sunday. There is fishable water out there right now, and fish have been feeding well on leeches and scuds subsurface. On sunny days there are even some rising fish mid day!
We are still hesitant to say it is worth a long drive for fishing. We're still only fishing a few hours mid day when water temperatures are climbing, and things shut down in the later afternoon when the temperature drops.
If you are going crazy being inside, the next few days will be relief from cabin fever and you might catch a few fish! Otherwise, wait a few more days as things will start getting better very soon!
