March 15th Fishing Report
Areas of fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 53. Calm wind becoming southwest around 6 mph in the afternoon.Another beautiful day in the Driftless! Creeks are extremely low and clear. Temps are in the low 40s.
There is just a little snow left in shaded areas and melting does not interfere with the fishing later in the day as much as it did a few days ago. Keep using your thermometer and fish a rising water temperature.
We have seen some olives hatching and fish rising. With the water as low as it is, using a longer and finer leader is not a bad idea. Approach with as much stealth as possible!
Subsurface fishing has been good on spanish bullets, euro squirrels, and zebra midges.
