March 18th Fishing Report
Snow before 11am, then rain and snow. High near 35. Breezy, with a northeast wind 7 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.Weird weather day with this being a drop in temperature. Some much needed precipitation is falling in light rain at this point. This should not be anything to be overly concerned about as temperatures are warm enough that any snow accumulation will disappear in the next day or so.
Creeks remain clear and very low with temperatures in the low 40s. Fishing has been solid lately despite the spooky fish! Midges and olives are hatching on most creeks around mid day, and the subsurface action on dark nymphs and leeches has been quite good.
On another note, we have had a couple of landowner complaints about parking recently. Make sure you are safely pulling off the road COMPLETELY (you can even pull in your mirrors). If the shoulder is not solid enough, move on. Also, please remember there is NO REASON TO BLOCK ACCESS ROADS. This means driveways and field accesses. Good landowner etiquette means more access and more water. Bad etiquette means posted land and loss of access. Please be respectful.
