July 1st Fishing Report
Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming northwest 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. The good fishing continues thanks to some favorable temperatures! Creeks are clear and a bit low, but temperatures have remained fairly stable in the upper and middle sections. They are running normally summer warm (probably not a good idea to fish them) in the lower sections.
We are seeing rising fish very early and very late (think 5-9) to lighter colored mayflies and midges. The rest of the day we are doing well fishing terrestrials with bead heads tied below them. This is prime terrestrial time in the Driftless!
