September 8th Fishing Report
Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. South wind 6 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.Another great hopper day! Warm-ish, sunny and windy. We get 2 more of these, then the temperatures drop and we get some clouds and drizzle. That weather could be very good to see our late summer olive hatch show up.
Creeks are in excellent shape for late summer, with only a couple too warm for effective fishing. We're fishing hoppers and beetles in the shallow riffles, and tying on a bead head below when we are fishing the runs below the riffles. Scuds have been effective in the mornings, then thinner bodied flies like perdigons and zebra midges.
Streamers and mice at night have been solid at night!
