October 1st Fishing Report

SEASON CLOSES AFTER THE 15TH.

Drillzy overnight and morning with a little less than half an inch falling near Viroqua.  It was not intense enough to muddy things up, but just enough to get the worms moving around!  Might be a good day and fish a worm pattern.

Showers, mainly before 11am. Temperature falling to around 62 by 5pm. Light north wind becoming northwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

The cloud cover has been amazing, keeping fish a little less spooky than they would be in clear water.

We are still fishing edible indicators and training wheels in darker body colors with scuds and squirrels below throughout the day.  The olive hatch is unpredictable, but when they are around in the later afternoon and evening, fish are rising to them happily.
