Every once in a while something catches your attention. Here in the Driftless fiberglass is not just a trend, it is a tool. Loads easily, casts gently, and is a ton of fun.

There have been a few bigger glass rods from companies that have come and gone, nothing really noteworthy. But, when we heard about a saltwater T-glass rod, we got excited

T-glass is is a high-tech offshoot of E-glass. Known for its superior rigidity, ultra-low thermal expansion, and dimensional stability. In other words, the next step in fiberglass material, and perfect for making a rod that feels and casts with the smoothness of glass, but isn’t a noodle. Lawn testing this rod with a gentle cast (paired with one line weight less Rio Predator fly lines) we were pleasantly surprised at the power and line speed we could get.

Bottom line. Redington took a gamble, but with high tech fiberglass, and great rod design they came up with one of the most fun and functional warm water rods out there. Perfect for bass, carp, Pike, burbot, gar and more. Mat is even taking one down to Argentina for Dorado soon!
