July 21st Week Outlook/Fishing Report

Areas of smoke. Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Southeast wind 8 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
. The week’s high temperatures reach into the mid 80s here and there all week long with no forecasted rains to give the temperatures relief. We recommend fishing mornings only and making sure you use your thermometer. Anything over 65 will be slow fishing and much warmer than that you risk hurting trout. Focus on the smaller, headwater creeks that are closer to the springs for better water temperatures.
. Foam terrestrials with a dropper are the main menu item still (and will be all summer long!) but with the warmer weather, we will start to see a hopeful increase in the trico spinner fall.
. This isn’t a bad week to fish trout from sunup until about 9, then hit a bluegill or bass pond in the evenings!
