August 10th Fishing Report

Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 85. Calm wind.

Creeks are clear and a bit low with temperatures in the high 50s to mid 60s.  Only the larger creeks start the day over 65 degrees.

The week ahead cools down slightly, and some cloud cover forecasted mid week.  All in all, a pretty solid summer trout fishing forecast!  Remember that it is still summertime.  The best fishing is in the mornings when the water temperatures are the coolest, and usually shuts down mid day (you can extend the day if clouds stay overhead and water temperatures do not climb too much).

Trico spinners are present on many creeks in the mornings, then switching to the summertime staple of a grasshopper with a bead head below (think thin bodied bugs like a zebra or P&O).
