August 7th Fishing Report

A slight chance of showers between 3pm and 4pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 82. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Cloudy and hopefully drizzly weekend ahead

Creeks have been resilient keeping decent water temperatures for the morning fishing!  We are seeing tricos early in the mornings, then catching fish on small hoppers and beetles (try a large sized ground beetle right now!) with droppers after the spinner fall subsides.

As it typical here in the summertime, things shut down right before lunch time.  If there is cloud cover, things can hold on through mid day though.  Later in the evenings, the last hour or so of daylight, can be a good time right now too.  Just make sure to check water temperatures and fish creeks that are below 65 degrees.
