Looks like we have a string of mostly sunny days ahead. That means terrestrials with small flashy droppers during the day, and focusing heavily on the evening hatches of sulfurs and cahills (lighter body colored mayflies).
Craneflies will be out and about as well, so watch for those random splashy rises.
Creeks are clear to stained overall with temperatures right around 60 degrees.

Rain over the past 24 hours was 1/4 to 3/4 of an inch at the heaviest. While this has blown out some of our area creeks, they will drop and clear up to fishable levels very quickly, and there is already some fishable water out there right now. Have a late breakfast, extra cup of coffee, or sleep in and focus mid day into the evening.
On the murky water, worm patterns, leeches and large scuds. On the stained water, big bright foam attractors with a thicker bodied bead head below. The creeks with some clarity should see the later mayfly hatches as well.

Dodging local, spotty rains has become a bit of a thing the past few days. The vast majority of our creeks are clear to slightly stained with temperatures right around 60 degrees. Things are in great shape except for the handful of valleys that have gotten some heavy rains.
Beetles with a dropper, craneflies, and lighter colored mayflies in the evening are the main menu items.

Clouds today will start to bunch up and maybe dump some rain on us today through Wednesday. Creeks are clear to slightly stained as the last spring rains missed us for the most part! The forecast, while rainy, does not look terrible until potentially Tuesday night.

Craneflies have been hot lately, along with smaller terrestrials with a dropper and lighter colored mayflies hatching in the evening. With potential rain, it will be mostly a subsurface day with fish happily feeding on pretty much any nymphs. Expect the scud and crayfish fishing to pick up with the cloud cover as well.

WIth this high pressure system sitting over us again today, fish are very spooky. Focus on the riffles and shady areas. For a late spring bonus, the shady areas are also some of the best terrestrial fishing right now. Overhanging grass, trees etc are highways for ants and beetles. Make sure to fish a small terrestrial wherever thing are hanging over the creeks.

Hatch wise we are seeing mayflies, mostly in the evenings, but a few here and there during the day too. Sulphurs, cahills… all of the lighter colored mayflies are around. There are a few caddis (mostly egg layers) and craneflies too.

Subsurface fishing has been solid on thinner bodied bead heads.

Creeks are clear to slightly stained. The recent rains were good, soaking rains and did not muddy things up in our area!
We continue to see caddis and craneflies throughout the day, and lighter colored mayflies hatching in the evenings. On some mornings, we are getting a decent spinner fall at dawn as well.
With the sunny and dry weather, we expect the small terrestrials to be out and about. A beetle or ant will be excellent when the sun is shining all day long!
Subsurface fishing is best with thin profile nymphs with a bit of sparkle on days like today.

Creeks are clear to stained with temperatures in the high 50s to 60. The recent rains were all pretty mellow and did not muddy much up except for the lower sections of creeks.
The limiting factor right now is the crowds. This has been an unusually busy season please keep in mind that crowds are not a problem if you show respect to other anglers and landowners. Don’t crowd other anglers, block gates or field access etc, and DO NOT WALK ON PRIVATE LAND. If we want to keep our area special, follow the simple golden rule.
We’re seeing caddis, craneflies, lighter colored mayflies in the evenings, and the terrestrial bite has been quite good when things dry out in the later morning.
Subsurface fishing has been good on, well, just about everything! Fish are in a good mood and a well drifted nymph in, and below, the riffle will get you some fish.
Larger streamers and mice at night are picking up right now too!

Creeks are clear to slightly stained from recent rains. Only the largest of our creeks are murky still.
So far we are seeing some light rain in the area that will last most of the morning. As of now, nothing that will significantly muddy up the creeks.
Saturday is predicted to be partly cloudy but otherwise clear. Sunday’s forecast is calling for potential heavy rain from 1-2 inches total, then drizzly and overcast on Monday.
Not the best weekend forecast, especially Sunday. This can change quite a bit in the next day or two though.
Fish are eating attractor patterns on the surface as well as foam terrestrials. Hatches of caddis, craneflies, and lighter colored mayflies are around, and can be decent especially in the later afternoon and evenings.
Subsurface fishing has been very good on scuds and brush hogs as well as pearl jams and zebra midges.
