Fishing Report

A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a temperature falling to around 38 by 5pm. Breezy, with a west wind 13 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph.
We received about 1/4 of an inch of rain last night leaving our creeks clear to slightly stained. Most of the rain soaked into the ground so there is little to no worry about muddy conditions out there.
Leeches and scuds remain the best producing patterns out there, as well as some caddis larvae and other thicker bodied patterns.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 65. Light southeast wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
Creeks are clear to stained with temperatures in the low to mid 40s. Things are still very low.
Hatches remain very sparse with a few midges sticking around and a couple of reports of an olive hatch in the afternoon. Most of the activity remains subsurface on shiny nymphs, leeches, and scuds.

Creeks are clear to slightly stained with water temperatures right around the mid 40s area wide.
Fish are starting to feed fairly early once the sun hits the water. We are seeing hatches, especially in the early afternoon of midges and a few olives. Otherwise we are fishing subsurface with scuds, leeches, and thin bodied nymphs with a bit of flash.

Sunny, with a high near 48. Northeast wind 6 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
Creeks are a bit low and clear to slightly stained with temperatures in the low to mid 40s.
We have seen some hatches of olives with the warm weather the past couple of days!
Overall, fishing has been best subsurface on small, sparse leech patterns, scuds, and dark bead heads with some flash. The entire week ahead looks sunny and mostly clear, so approach the creeks with some stealth and look for fish to be concentrated in pockets, pools and other shady spots until the hatches come off and they move into the riffles.

Sunny, with a high near 69. Breezy, with a southwest wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph.
Creeks are clear to stained with temperatures in the high 30s to low 40s. The hot weather today will get rid of the remaining snow. There is not enough to really mess up the fishing, but continue to check water temperatures, especially in the afternoon. If things are cooling down water temp wise, it is probably time to call it quits on that creek.
We’re still seeing our winter bugs (midges, a few winter stoneflies), but we are transitioning into spring flies (spring stones, BWOs). Subsurface fishing is still the best with trout eating leeches, scuds, and darker bodied nymphs very well all day long.

Sunny, with a high near 48. West wind 8 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.
Creeks are clear to stained with temperatures in the high 30s to 40 degrees. Most of our snow is gone leaving our creeks low. We still need precipitation, but fishing has slowly stated to pick up a bit with the warmup. Hatches are still sparse, but midge hatches are out there on most of the creeks mid day.
The most effective fishing is rolling a scud or slowly twitching a leech below the riffles.

A 40 percent chance of snow, mainly before noon. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 41. Calm wind becoming north around 6 mph in the afternoon. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
A pretty decent looking weekend ahead! The snow from the middle of the week is all but melted leaving creeks clear to slightly stained with temperatures in the high 30s area wide.
We are still seeing some spotty midge hatches that have fish rising, but most of the activity is subsurface on midge larvae, scuds, and small leeches.
Shop is open today and Saturday from 10-2. Closed Sunday and Monday starts our 7 day a week schedule with normal hours!

A chance of rain and thunderstorms, then rain and possibly a thunderstorm after 3pm. High near 49. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Creeks are low and mostly clear. Fishing has been just ok as we need some precipitation.
The good news is it looks like a little bit is moving in today and tomorrow. Rains today, and 2-4 inches of what should be heavy, moisture laden snow tomorrow. Heading into the weekend the temperatures are in the high 30s which we are hoping provides a slow melt so some of the moisture can sink into the ground.
We don’t advise travel tonight and tomorrow. Wind and rain and show do not make for a very enjoyable day on the water.

Nothing really noteworthy today. The clouds will help with the spooky fish, but the wind will be pretty rough today.
Tomorrow we are supposed to get some light rain, and possibly an inch of snow or more on Wednesday. This is some MUCH needed moisture that will hopefully soak into the ground and hit the springs eventually.
Later in the week things warm up again for some nice spring weather.
