October 2nd fishing Report

Sunny, with a high near 61. North wind 6 to 8 mph.

Creeks are clear to medium stained (a bit more rain south of the Wisconsin river) with excellent water temperatures.  Fall conditions are here to stay for the next week or so.

Transition days like today can be boom or bust.  This is the first bright and sunny day we have had in a few.  Assume fish will be tucked underneath banks and overhanging vegetation early, then push out and move to the riffles later in the day as bugs start to hatch.

The edible indicator followed by a medusa has been excellent when fish are starting to come up.  If you do not see any rising fish, a stupid orange beetle with a small bead head below will work well.
