October 8th Fishing Report
Sunny, with a high near 61. Light east wind.
Creeks are low and clear with temperatures in the low to mid 50s. The bright sun is making fish spooky, so be as stealthy as possible and focus on the broken water and shade (overhanging vegetation, undercut banks etc)
. Smaller hoppers and beetles with bead heads are catching fish all day long. It was cold last night, so getting out there a bit later and letting the water warm up is key. In the later part of the day we are seeing sporadic hatches of olives and caddis too.
Streamers, leeches, and mice are solid… But, not when the sun is high in the sky. Fish these at dusk and into dark.
